Dee Molenaar, mountaineer, geologist, and artist, has been working on his memoir for quite some time. Here we learn of his childhood, growing up in the hills and on the beaches of southern California, and then climbing in six continents. Dee made it to the summits of numerous Cascade volcanoes, Mount Saint Elias, Mount Kennedy, the Matterhorn, to 25,000' on K2 in 1953, to Antarctica; to Australia, to Peru; and to the base of Everest. He has had a most interesting and extraordinary life and it’s great to finally see his book.
