Done as a book for children, this has many sketches by Evans detailing the climb. He was one of the first to reach the South Summit in 1953. This is one of eight books written by the first ascent team. Neate E26.
Prouty, Margaret Jo (1908 – 1992) & Robert L. (1913 – 2000) – Margaret was a pediatrician and mountaineer. For 70 years she traveled the world to climb mountains, photographing and writing of her adventures. She made 400 ascents of peaks above 10,000 feet in 22 countries. Her climbing experiences ranged from the Rocky Mountains, Mexico, South America, Europe, Nepal, Africa, New Zealand, and Antarctica. She climbed the Matterhorn (1949), was the physician for the Cordillera Blanca Expedition to Peru (1958), and was the first to employ Col. Jimmy Roberts on a trek in the Khumbu Region (1965).
