A most interesting biography of one of the first women and first Americans to go mountaineering thoughout the world. Partridge climbed extensively during the 1930s and 1940s in Colorado, the Tetons, Columbia, the Canadian Rockies and the Swiss Alps. In 1950, serving as official expedition photographer, she joined Charles Houston and H. W. Tilman on their early exploration into the Khumbu region of Nepal to the foot of Everest.
