Beck Weathers is widely known as the person who miraculously survived the ferocious storm on Everest in May 1996. As a member of Rob Hall’s Adventure Consultants team he managed to reach the Balcony but soon lost his vision. His story tells of his climbs on Denali, Popocatepl, Pico de Orizaba, Elbrus, Aconcagua, Vinson, Carstenz Pyramid and Kilimanjaro, his driving quest to climb, the strain that that produced on his family, and his painful recovery since his Everest ordeal.
