A most important early book on the Tetons. Originally published in three parts in the journal ‘Appalachia’, then updated for this book format. This is the first book on technical climbing in the Tetons with a history of ascents and detailed route descriptions. The information within was obtained by Fryxell over the course of six summers from 1926-31. This copy must have been given to Smith shortly after publication. Quite hard to find.
