The second British expedition, from the north, building upon the reconnaissance of the previous year. Even then the use of oxygen was debated so attempts were made with and without, both going over 8000 meters. An important work in early Everest history. Anyone with a true interest in Everest should read the early books to understand what it took to first explore and come to grips with this mountain. This second impression was eight months after the first and is identical.
