A most intriguing book for all ages. Dickinson, an Everest climber himself, has provided a book which presents the mountain in a unique format. Included throughout are removeable facsimilies such as the 1921 British Everest map, Nepalese rupees, a prayer flag, an excerpt from Maurice Wilson’s 1934 diary, an envelope found with Mallory in 1999 listing oxygen cylinders, equipment list, a history of first ascents on the Everest massif, and forms for a guided climb in 2001.
