Everest – Photographs from the Royal Geographical Society Picture Library

A marvelous selection of prints from the RGS Everest Archive made available in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Everest. The prints in this special commemorative limited edition include some of the most famous photographs ever taken of the mountain from 1907 to 1953. Photographers include Howard-Bury, Kellas, Wollaston, Somervell, Noel, Beetham, Smythe, Smythe-Windham, Ruttledge, Gregory, Hillary, Band, Lowe, and Wylie. This brochure illustrates each of the 33 prints which are limited to 250 copies. Each print is numbered, finished by hand, and comes with a limitation certificate. Prints are silver gelatin or archival color digital prints, paper size is 16” x 20”, with images approximately 12” x 16”.
