Holway made many first ascents (Mt. Edith Cavell, Longstaff, Cyprian Peak, Augustine, Topham, Citadel, Austerity, Sir Sandford, Adamant, and others), some with Palmer, over the course of 16 seasons climbing in the Canadian Rockies and Interior Ranges. He wrote seven articles for the Canadian Alpine Journal about his climbs from 1909 to 1918. Mary M. Holway was Edward Holway’s wife. Uncommon.
