In 1908-09, Larden, a British alpinist, made a return trip to South America, having been there previously in 1888. He gives a thorough description of life on his brothers estancia. In early 1909 he attempted Tupungato, coming within 300 feet of the summit, and later approached the base of Aconcagua. Rare.
