We're pleased to offer two great signed posters from Simon Yates, perhaps best known as the climber who cut Joe Simpson's rope during their epic 1985 climb of Siula Grande's West Face (20,848') in the Peruvian Andes. Although this climb brought his name into the mainstream, for over 20 years Simon's climbing has taken him from Alaska to Australia, from the Arctic to South America. He has made ten visits to the Karakoram, where he made the first ascents of Leyla Peak (6300m) and Nemeka (6400m), a second ascent of Lobsang 2, ascents of various 6000m peaks, and a winter attempt on Nanga Parbat (8125m). He was also a member of the team which made the first British ascent of Khan Tengri (6995m) in Kazakhstan. Simon has climbed big walls in Baffin Island and Patagonia, including a new route on the Central Tower of Paine. More recently he has made two sailing and mountaineering trips to Chilean Tierra del Fuego, resulting in the first ascent of Monte Ada (2100m) and the third ascent of Monte Frances (2200m). Along the way, he has climbed with Britain's top mountaineers including Andy Cave, Mick Fowler, Andy Parkin, Paul Pritchard, Doug Scott, Sean Smith and Steve Sustad. Simon has guided clients to the summits of Ama Dablam (6856m), Aconcagua (6960m), and Khan Tengri (6995m). He is the author of two books 'Against the Wall', shortlisted for the 1997 Boardman Tasker Mountaineering Literature Award, and 'Flame of Adventure', shortlisted at the Banff Mountain Book Festival.
