This is the official account of the 1972 Ryosetsu Alpine Club’s ascent of McKinley. The expedition consisted of five women from the Club who planned to climb the West Rib. It is believe that three of them reached the summit but fell on the descent, their bodies being found by Ray Genet. Included in the text is a copy of a letter from Jim Wickwire to the expedition leader concerning the accident. Text in Japanese with a 20-page English summary.
