Race to the Pole

Cracknell and Fogle were members of one team, out of six, which participated in the 2009 Amundsen Omega 3 South Pole Race. This was the first ‘race to the pole’ since Amundsen and Scott in 1911. Their British team came in second, to the Norwegians once again, after skiing and sledging 480 miles from Novo Base to the Pole.
