Finch was a key member of the 1922 British Mount Everest Expedition, a mountaineering endeavor which resulted in the world’s first climbing foray above 8000m, and President of the Alpine Club from 1959-61. His primary account of the expedition was only published in German, in 1925, and not translated until 2008. This booklet is his first, primary, account of the 1922 expedition and includes a chapter on the 1924 expedition. Scarce.
