The Last Blue Mountain

Barker’s book, first published in 1959, has been long overdue for a new printing to bring this tragic story to a wider audience. This is the account of the tragic 1957 Haramosh (24,270') expedition to the Karakoram, prepared from expedition diaries and discussions with survivors. This new printing includes an appendix of a paper read by expedition member John Emery to the Alpine Club in 1961. With an introduction by Ed Douglas. This special, signed edition has a different binding from the unsigned, softcover trade edition and contains an additional signature page with the limitation number and Ed’s signature.
