This is a facsimile edition of the uncommon first edition published circa 1913. Authored by either Sir John Ernest Hodder-Williams or, more likely, Sir James Matthew Barrie who wrote Peter Pan. It tells the tragic true story of the fate of Robert Scott and his companions on the return trip from the South Pole. It was written for Scott’s son Peter with the object of raising funds for the child following his father’s death.

Conrad 188, Rosove 13, Spence 1047.
