Rob Anderson started his Seven Summits Solo project following an ascent of Kosciuszko in 1991. Over the following four years he succeeded on five other continental high points, interspersed with two attempts on Everest. On his seventh overall visit to Everest, in 1995, he was defeated by poor weather while attempting an oxgygenless attempt via the North Face.
