Kangchenjunga: Imaging a Himalayan Mountain

A marvelous book created as a catalogue to accompany an exhibition of 56 paintings, prints and photographs of the third highest mountain in the world. The exhibition, which showed at The Alpine Club in London in May-June 2005 as part of a series of events celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the first ascents by a team of British mountaineers, examined changes in the ways in which Kangchenjunga has been seen and interpreted by artists, photographers, mountaineers, poets and travel writers over the period c1848-2005.
